There Is A Higher Rate Of Divorce In Conservative States Than In Liberal States

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Statistical Abstract of the United States: 2012 the average rate of Divorce across the United States in 2009 was 3.4 per 1,000 population. 15 out of 22 Conservative States had a higher than average rate of Divorce (68% of Conservative States) versus 12 out of 29 Liberal States that had a higher than average rate of Divorce (41% of Liberal States). The lowest rate of Divorce in the country is found in Massachusetts with 2.2 per 1,000 population.

    This is old news. Teen pregnancy is also higher in red states.

    I kind of figured that that was true, but it’s nice to see people talking about it and presenting proof from a reliable source. So much for the sanctity of marriage argument.
